Medieval Tales & Slavic Sagas

 Master Storyteller Denise McCormack returns to Godfrey Daniels for the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild Family Storytelling Series. McCormack brings tale of old, featuring noble women warriors, beautiful witches, and aged but youthful strongmen whose feats have earned them a place in the annals of time. Medieval Tales and Slavic Sagas includes tales from the Song-Cycles of Kiev and Novgorod and other early sources. 


$5.50

Tickets are available at the door.

Free admission of children under 6.

Each child receives 2 free books courtesy of CopsNKids.

In collaboration and support of The Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, this informative workshop will explore core  curricular standards for teachers and students, the point and practice of effective lesson planning, and Act 48, the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s stamp of approval for educational workshops and programs.

Join Master Storyteller Denise McCormack for an evening of carefully crafted tales on Tuesday, October 2 @ 7 PM at Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Stree, Princeton, NJ, and explore the human condition through the power of story.

Each vignette highlights the dynamic nature of relationships and reflects the emotional turmoil that is interwoven in the choices and circumstances of our being, especially those related to women's issues, of motherhood and family.  Included among the works are renditions of literary tales by pre-feminist author Kate Chopin, as well as folk.

Will the horror never end???  On Monday, October 22nd, at the Public Library of Catasauqua, at 6 pm, Karen Maurer and Denise McCormack will share stories and scare listeners.  Expect chants, rants, songs, perhaps even gongs, tales and wails at this family oriented Fright Night event.   The first 20 minutes or so will be fairly tame fare but then….oh, then things get hairy and scary.

North Carolina Storytelling Festival & Open Mic

 

NCSG's Tar Heel Tellers Storytelling Festival celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a special storytelling festival on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10am-4pm in Hendersonville, NC. 


Denise McCormack is slated for the Open Mic in a friendly competition of NC tales.


This festival is free and open to the public.

Featured tellers include the founders who lit the sparks that became the North Carolina Storytelling Guild, and remain loyal members: Cynthia Brown, Marvin Cole, Sheila Evans, Sandra Gudger, Dianne Hackworth, Gwenda Ledbetter, and Sylvia Payne.
